The books at the beginning of the list are the best.
In every book shop in town, there is a financial section....You behold this category and realise that today, a theme shift is underway....The old theme is wholely positive and is based almost exclusively around property investing and the stock market.
However, since the GFC, the book shelf exhibits a new theme which is fairly negative and covers such topics as how to get out of debt, bankruptcy, the GFC, fraud in corporations ie Enron et al, and even a few books on currency devaluation and the 1929 Great Depression.
So a theme shift is underway, and at this point in time, when you take a glance along the book shelf in the financial section, you see approximately half half: Half the old books are there, and the other half of the books are the new theme.....
So the bookshelf in Dymocks and Borders is reflective of the world economic news. However most of the time, people seek out the positive books of old such as the one with a title something like "How to go from 0 to 130 properties in 5 years".....A definite trend has emmerged and a tectonic market shift is underway, your aim is to take advantage of it and profit from it and not become a victim of it. I have personally read some of the books in the list and found them very informative to my investing knowledge. You cannot invest without knowledge and part of the whole thing is knowing what to read. Here then are some books I encourage any investor to read.
